Championship standards set the bar, the fastest of the fast, racing for the title. 

There will be Open Races with no entry standard. This will be first come first serve so Coaches & Athletes, be sure to get registered quickly because when the event fills up, it's closed. We feel this is the most fair way to do it so coaches can plan travel and not wait wondering if their athletes got in. These race

Jim Ryun, the first high schooler to break 4 minutes in the mile, will be the official starter of the RunningLane Kansas City Relays Mile. And it’s only right that the Mile now carries his name.
